Graston Technique ®

Graston technique ® is a unique, evidence-based form of instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization technique that enables clinicians to effectively and efficiently address soft tissue lesions & fascial restrictions resulting in improved patient outcomes. Most of our clinicians are Certified Graston Providers.

Following an injury, soft tissue may develop disorganized collagen and fibrotic tissue. This will result in reduced flexibility and weakened tissue. Manual therapies, such as The Graston Technique®, breakdown unorganized collagen crosslinks so they can re-organize in a stronger, more aligned pattern.

There also appears to be a neurological benefit to the technique. Graston triggers mechanoreceptors (nerves) that can increase proprioception or sense of one’s own body positioning in space. This leads to proper movement of your joints and as a result allows for greater range of motion with less pain.
